Edward Nash

Edward Roy Nash died June 71, 2010, at Valley Nursing Home.

Ed was born to Donald and Delphine (Wise) Nash June 28, 1949, in Billings. Ed attended school in Billings, graduating from West High in 1967. During his teen years he was a paper carrier for The Billings Gazette. He lived and worked in Denver for several years. After returning to Billings, he worked for Montana Tile & Terrazzo, Kaspers Photo, Sunflower Cafe, Brodie Dornman, Casey’s Golden Pheasant, carried papers for The Gazette and owned and operated a thrift store on Montana Avenue. In his spare time he painted murals, one of which most can remember, as it was on the corner of Montana Avenue and 28th, but has long been painted over. Ed was married to Debra Kobold in 1991 and divorced in 2002.

Ed was preceded in death by his father Don Nash. Survivors include his mother Delphine (Wise) Nash-Olson. In Billings: Uncle Louis (Donna) Wise, cousins Al (Kathy) Wise (Josh) (Nathan), Kristie (Brian) Boelter (Megan) (Chloe), Ted (Sharon) Baldwin, Robert (Thelma) Nash, Neal (Shirley) Nash and numerous cousins. And very special friend Ed Barta. In Seattle, Wash: Emory (Darlene) Lindgard, Beverly (Maggie) Chambers, Susan (Ubaldo) Alergria and many other cousins. Other states: Linda Mehner of Joplin, Mo., Gary (Peggy) Nash of Redwood Valley, Calif., Steve Nash of Savannah, Ga., Jean (Don) Rowley of Newport, Ore., Donna (Lee) Fisher of Vancouver, Wash., Tom Nash of Detroit, Mich., Susan and Mike Grundhauser of Mead, Wash., Marie Wilson of Polson, Mont., and many others.

Ed was a free spirit and true individual and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
