In Memory

Judith (Judy) Lamb

On March 4, 2017, our sister, aunt and friend, Judy Lamb, passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly from a fall in her home.

Judith Lorraine Lamb was born May 3, 1949, in Sheridan, Wyo., to Jack and Betty Calkins Lamb, and was the oldest of four children. Judy grew up in Billings and graduated from Billings West High in 1967 and then attended EMC and Billings Business College.

Judy’s occupation was always in the medical field and she was a very proficient medical transcriptionist. Judy worked in the medical records department for Billings Clinic and St. Vincent, many years for the late Dr. Paul Crellin at the Children’s Clinic, and retired from St. V’s outpatient rehab clinic.

Judy volunteered at Orchard and McKinley Schools in the HOSTS program and made many young friends. She also volunteered and participated in the MS walk. Judy was a creative person, an artist, an avid knitter and reader, and loved dogs, especially her two yellow labs, Maggie and Ruby. She was a diehard New York Yankees and Chicago Bears fan — no matter what.

Judy is survived by her sisters, Kasey (Rex) Buehring, Red Lodge, Sue Larson, Billings; and her brother Jack (Mary) Lamb, Casper, Wyo. She loved being “Aunt Judy” to her nieces and nephew, Libby Hinsley, Lindsey Zielke, Jes Waite, Seattle, and Ryan and Sara Lamb, Casper. Judy had a special place in her heart for Haylee Haarr. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Betty. She is also survived by her uncle Marlin and aunt Gloria Lamb, and aunt Sandy Calkins.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. At a later date, Judy’s ashes will be scattered at the cabin in the Big Horn Mountains.

We are so sad to lose such a treasured member of our family. Judy, we will miss you greatly and remember you always.
