Phyllis Detienne

Phyllis Martha DeTienne, 65, was called home on Nov. 20, 2014. Cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. on Dec. 13, at All Nation Christian Church (2520 5th Avenue S).

The daughter of Eli and Sarah DeTienne was born in Williston, N.D., on May 29, 1949, and was raised in Bainville. She attended Billings West High School and went on to study early education at Eastern Montana College. Phyllis was employed with Billings Job Service for many years. She treasured her time there and made many long-standing friendships.

Surviving Phyllis is her daughter Tina and her children, Tianna and Jevon, and her son Loren DeTienne. She is also survived by her sister Helen DeTienne, brothers Ted (Karla), Sherman (Yvonne), Martin (Maxine), Jonathan (Lynette), younger sister Jessie (Kelly) and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was preceded in death be her parents and brother, Richard DeTienne.

Phyllis was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed volunteering for the Wintonia and numerous charities in the Seattle area where she resided for the last ten years.

She touched the lives of many with her warm smile, loving heart and infectious laughter. Phyllis loved her family and will be greatly missed by us all. We will love and miss you always, Mom!
