ANNOUNCEMENTS

Greetings, Classmates!

A core team of volunteers from our Class has been very active with "pop-up" charitable projects in the Billings Community since our 50th Reunion. You can see great examples posted on our Class Website. The focus of the hands-on work of the team has been on elementary and middle school kids in need. The team works with school principals and staff to identify school supply, food pantry, and re-purposed clothing needs.

In a separate pursuit in behalf of our Class, the team has honored someone who has made a mark in the community, e.g. the 2017 Major Dan Miller Bench at YMCA and the 2019 Weather Vane at (Fred) Urbaska Field, both being commissioned public art by Charlie Ringer. And we remember our classmates who are no longer with us at the 2007 Memorial Bench atop the Rims, made possible from your donations at our 40th Class Reunion.

The resources for these projects has come from fund raising at our Class events and from generous donors in the business community. To our knowledge, no other "Class Of ...." is as active as BWHS Class of 1967 in our community. The recipients of the charitable projects have expressed compelling gratitude and the team has found the projects to be well worth the time and effort.

As the team begins it's planning for 2020 it would like to enlist your ideas for charitable projects or recognition. And Yes, ask you to consider a financial contribution to help make these volunteer projects sustainable. Please submit your suggestions and if you can, a check with a contribution (no amount too small) to our Class Website Administrator and Treasurer Katherine Treat.

Thank You!
