Patrick Frances Grimsley, 68, passed away Nov. 4, 2016, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center while awaiting a liver transplant. Pat was born Oct. 12, 1948, in Souix City, Iowa,to Neil and Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Grimsley. In 1960, the family moved to Billings where Pat attended school and graduated from Billings West High School in 1967.

In July of 1967, Pat married Pam Harris. Three children were born to this union. Shannon Smith (Blake) of Cody, Wyo. Matthew Grimsley (Laura) of Sandy, OR. and Jorn Grimsley of Concord, Calif.

While Pat was still in High School, he signed up for the Navy. After boot camp, he was stationed at Long Beach, Calif., and was enlisted for two years. They returned to Billings, where he was accepted to the St. Vincent School of Radiologic Technology.

After graduating, he went to Denver to learn Ultrasound Technology. He was the first Ultrasonographer in Billings and he was proud of the fact that there are hundreds of people walking around the city that he found with his ultrasound machine!

In December of 1984, he married Lisa Hannum in Powell, Wyo. Pat and Lisa enjoyed traveling, especially to Mexico where they would frequently go in February to escape the cold Montana winter. They also enjoyed NASCAR and attended several of the races. Pat and Lisa shared the same birthday but Lisa was quick to tell people she was 10 years younger than Pat.

Pat was preceded in death by his father, his brother Dan, and his brother Mike. He is survived by his wife Lisa, his Mother, two brothers John and Richard, two sisters Theresa and Joan, his children, his five grandchildren Erin and Danielle Uchtman, Payson and Madison Grimsley, and Maya Grimsley, and his great-grandson Henry Weaver.

Cremation has taken place. Services will be at 1 p.m., Dec. 9, at Peace Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the animal shelter of your choice. And please sign up to be an organ donor.
